Associate Banks of State Bank of India Bank will start its recruitment process for filling up 7740 vacant posts of Clerical Cadre from 30 July 2012. The recruitment process of the bank will end on 13 August 2012.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written examination which will be conducted on 7 October 2012 and 14 October 2012. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one Bank/State only and will have to appear for written test from a centre of that particular state. The list of Associate Banks of State Bank of India (SBI) and breakup of vacancies is given below.

Candidates who have passed their 12th Standard with minimum 60% marks (50% for PBC/ SC/ ST/ PWD) or have completed their Graduation can apply for the post. In addition candidates should have fluency in English and knowledge of local language (desirable).
The State Bank of India was constituted on 1 July 1955. Arguably the most respected bank in the country, SBI had assets of US$360 billion with over 13,577 outlets including 157 overseas branches and agents globally as on March 2012. Associate Banks were nationalised by the Government of India between October 1959 and May 1960. In tune with the first Five Year Plan, emphasising the development of rural India, the government integrated these banks into the State Bank of India system to expand its rural outreach.
