Eligibility Criteria for Faculty & Other Posts 2016 

Educational qualification

• Assistant Professor: 1st or high 2nd Class Master’s Degree in the relevant subject / Discipline or equivalent degree of a foreign University (4 semester duration) following a good. B.Sc. (Ag). Hons. Degree / B.Sc. (Hort.) Hons. Degree as applicable.
• Associate Professor: 1st or high 2nd Class Master’s Degree in the relevant subject or equivalent degree of a foreign University (4 semester duration) following a good B.Sc. (Ag) Hons / B.Sc. (Hort) Hons. / B.Sc. (Ag.) Hons. with Horticulture as an elective subject as applicable (candidates having B.Sc.(Ag.) Hons. with Horticulture as an elective subject are eligible for posts of Horticulture Discipline).
• Professor: 1st or high 2nd Class Master’s Degree in the relevant subject or equivalent degree of a foreign University following a good Bachelors’ Degree (4- year duration) in the relevant subject.
• Associate Director of Research: Consistently good academic record with B+ Master’s Degree in any branch of Agriculture / Horticulture / Agriculture Engineering or recognised equivalent qualification.
• Deputy Registrar and Secretary Faculty Council: Uniformly good academic record with a B+ Master’s Degree or its equivalent.
• Assistant Engineer (Electrical): Uniformly good academic record with degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Farm Manager: A good honours degree in Agriculture.

Experience

• Associate Professor : At least 8 years’ exp. of teaching and / or research and / or extension education in the rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent position in an institute of repute.
• Professor: Ten years’ exp. of teaching and / or research and / or extension education in the relevant field of specialisation of which at least 3 years must be in the rank of Associate Professor or equivalent position in identical pay scale.
• Registrar: At least 10 years’ administrative experience in academic institutions like University or in an Institute of higher learning of which 5 (five) years must be in high level administration in a University or in an Institute of Post Graduate Studies.
• Associate Director of Research: At least 10(ten) years’ experience in high position in research in the field of Agriculture / Horticulture / Agril. Engineering or allied sciences. At least years’ experience as Chief of any Research Organisation / Head of a Department in an Institute (national, State or at the University level) where research forms a major activities.
• Deputy Registrar: At least 7 years’ experience in a position involving supervision, control and planning of examinations, administration of Colleges or in an Institute of higher learning or government or other academic bodies – at least 5 years of the 7 years’ experience should in higher position of high level administration
• Secretary Faculty Council: At least 5 years’ experience in a position involving supervision, administration or teaching in an Institute of higher learning or Govt. or academic bodies.
• Assistant Engineer (Electrical): At least 5 years’ experience in a position involving supervision, control and planning of construction work under Govt. / quasi Govt. organization or in University and such other Institutions.

Age limit for Professor Job 2016

55 years.

Age limit for Associate Professor, Assistant Professor Job 2016

UR: 45 years.

Age limit for Registrar Job 2016

Not less than 40 years.

Age limit for Associate Director of Research Job 2016

Below 55 years.

Age limit for Deputy Registrar, Secretary Faculty Council, Farm Manager Jobs 2016

Not less than 35 years.

Age limit for Assistant Engineer (Electrical) Job 2016

Not less than 30 years.
