Banaras Hindu University conducts Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) for offering admissions to bachelor degree courses at the various faculty of the University. The BHU UET is conducted in offline mode on different dates. Students seeking admissions to undergraduate courses at BHU can apply for the entrance exam with the online application form. BHU UET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Students need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for the UG courses offered at Banaras Hindu University. The eligibility criteria of BHU UET 2018 for bachelor degree courses specifies educational qualification, minimum percentage required and age limit criteria for students. Check the BHU UET 2018 eligibility as mentioned below –

BHU Eligibility for B.A. (Hons.) and B.A. (Hons.) in Social Sciences:

  • Students should be passed in Class 12th/SSSC or any equivalent qualifying examination from a state or national board of education recognised school/institute
  • They must have obtained minimum 50% marks in aggregate of all relevant subjects
  • Their age should not be more than 22 years  as on July 01, 2018

BHU Eligibility for B.Com (Hons.) and B.Com (Hons.) in FMM:

  • Students should be passed in Class 12th/SSSC or any equivalent qualifying examination from a state or national board of education recognised school/institute
  • The main subjects studied at 10+2 level must include Commerce/ Economics/ Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Financial Market Management or subjects relevant to commerce stream
  • They must have obtained minimum 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects
  • Their age should not be more than 22 years  as on July 01, 2018

BHU Eligibility for B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics and Biology:

  • Students should be passed in Class 12th/SSSC or any equivalent qualifying examination from a state or national board of education recognised school/institute
  • For Mathematics, the main subjects must include Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Statistics/ Geology/Computer Science/Information Technology/Geography
  • For Biology, the main subjects of study must include Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Geology/Geography
  • The students must be passed in the subjects separately and also must have obtained minimum 50% marks in aggregate of all these subjects
  • Their age should not be more than 22 years  as on July 01, 2018

BHU UET 2018 Application Process

Students needed to apply for BHU UET 2018 in online mode through the online application window on the official website. The online application form was available until February 28, 2018, and students seeking admissions to UG courses at BHU must have applied before the last date of application. Students could apply for BHU UET 2018 as mentioned below –

Visit the official website of Banaras Hindu University i.e. www.bhu.ac.in or the application form window - online.in to apply for BHU UET 2018 and click on apply for online application as under –

  1. New Registration – the new registration for BHU UET 2018 could be done by providing Aadhaar number, e-mail id, and phone number to create User Id and password
  2. Login to fill application form – Once the registration was completed; students could fill the basic details, academic details, entrance test and centre details etc.
  3. Upload documents – After completing the second step of BHU UET online application form, students could upload scanned copies of their coloured photograph and signature in JPEG format of 100KB file size.
  4. Pay the application fee – The students needed to pay the application fee of Rs. 500 for general category and Rs. 250 for SC/ST/Physically Challenged category. The application fee for BHU UET 2018 could be paid in online mode by using Net Banking or Debit Card or Credit Card. In case, students do not have these facilities then they can pay a fee in offline mode in cash at HDFC Bank with e-challan.
  5. Submit the online application form – After the application fee payment status was updated in the Application window, then the students could submit the application form in online mode only. After the successful BHU UET 2018 application, the students were advised to get a print copy of the filled in application form for future references.

BHU UET 2018 Test Pattern

  • Exam Mode – Pen-paper based test
  • Test timings – 8:00 am to 10:00 am for B.A. (Hons), 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm for B.A. (Hons) in Social Sciences, 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm for B.Com (Hons.) and B.Com (Hons.) FMM, B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics and Biology
  • Test duration – 120 minutes for B.A (Hons.) courses and 150 minutes for B.Com and B.Sc. courses
  • Type of questions – Objective type questions
  • Exam Medium – English and Hindi
  • Subjects – relevant subjects only
  • Total Question - 150 for each test subject
  • Total Marks - 450 for each test course
  • Marking scheme - 3 marks for each correct attempt and one mark will be deducted in case of each wrong attempt

BHU UET 2018 Admit Card and Test Centres

BHU UET 2018 appearing students can download their admit card from the official website using their log in User Id and Password. The admit card of BHU UET is essential for students to take the exam and also it will mention important details like candidates name, photograph, test details and allotted exam centre. BHU UET 2018 Results, Merit list and Counselling

The results of BHU UET 2018 will be announced by the First or Second week of June 2018 for all courses. The students can check their qualifying status for BHU UET 2018 in online mode using their log in Id and password. The students scoring minimum cut off marks as determined by BHU will be considered qualified and will be eligible for admissions. Also, the University will prepare merit list for all bachelor degree courses separately on basis of which the students will be allotted seats during BHU UET counselling.
