Azim Premji University's masters programme in development aims to create professionals who can make a difference with their skills and approach towards development

To become a change agent, one needs to formulate and influence opinions. The Azim Premji Foundation has launched the masters' programme in development catering to the need of producing trained professionals in the field.
"The biggest problem in the education and development sector is the high demand for quality talent coupled with an acute shortage of such people. The Azim Premji Foundation is itself looking at hiring 4,000 professionals over the next few years," says Anurag Behar, chief executive officer, Azim Premji Foundation.
The course will be conducted on university campus at Bengaluru and would require students to clear an entrance test. Students will be given financial assistance, loans, language support and hostel facilities as required. Students can expect to earn anything between Rs 15,000 and Rs 25,000 per month after graduating. The last date of application is April 25. Last date of receipt of forms is May 15, 2011.
