To ensure the quality of education, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to appoint a team of evaluators who will overlook the performance of students in the assessments in schools.
Being a part of the School Quality Assessment And Accreditation (SQAA), CBSE believes that process of evaluation and standardised instruments are a must to improve the educational infrastructure in the schools affiliated with the Board.
"CBSE is going to form its core team of experts to check the quality assessment which plays a crucial role in the school education," said a CBSE official.
Sadhana Parashar, the director of CBSE said, "The core team of CBSE will be formed of the principals; whether working or retired. It will also include the educators with a good experience and rich insight in the process of school education. This will surely help to improve the quality of education in India."
The selection process for the peer assessors will be fully transparent that will follow the online screening test which will have multiple choice questions on SQAA manual and then study the cases.
