The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to declare the result of Class 10 by 6.15 pm 24 May 2012. The results are to be put live on the official site, students can also find their results on their email id's.
The CBSE Board introduced Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) for the first time in 2011. A candidate who has passed the Secondary School Examination under the CCE shall be issued Certificate of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation indicating the grades obtained in the subjects under Scholastic Area A and grades obtained in the subjects under Scholastic Area B and Co-scholastic Areas.
Like the previous years, CBSE is hosting the results with the technical support of National Informatics Centre (NIC), Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
CBSE was set up by the govt. of India in 1929 as a joint board named "Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana". This included Ajmer, Merwara, Central India and Gwalior. Later it was confined to Ajmer, Bhopal and Vindhya Pradesh. In 1952, it became the ‘Central Board of Secondary Education'. The CBSE Board was reconstituted in 1962 with 309 schools under its jurisdiction.
