CBSE CLASS 10TH SCIENCE PAPER ANALYSIS:
- CBSE has tested the whole NCERT syllabus
- Last year’s practical based question were in MCQ format but in 2018, all the Practical based question were subjective

4. New observation / abnormalities:
- First ever PBQ from metals and non metals
- No PBQ from carbon and its compound (from 2015 to 2017 at least 3 PBQ has been asked)
- From chapter periodicity, question has been asked from the topic Dobereiner's triad and Newland octaves(from 2008 to 2017, no question asked on these topics)
- Repeted questions from the chapter ‘’How do organism reproduce?’’(question had been asked on the budding in yeast and reproduction in amoeba and the same had been asked multiple time)
- The same theoretical question regarding female reproductive system and placenta has been asked in from 2017 paper-This shows the importance of previous year papers
- In 2018, Only one mark question asked from the chapter heredity and evolution while in previous years this chapter was having the weightage of 4 to 5 marks
Difficulty Level Analysis:
Easy: question directly given in NCERT:
Medium: question involving the data and calculations
Difficult: Question asked indirectly from NCERT

Important Observation:
The whole question paper came from NCERT Book
Suggestions:
- Students must go through the sample paper released by CBSE to get the idea of marking Scheme
- CBSE previous years’ papers solution is must as some times same questions get repeated in the question paper
- Along with NCERT Book, student should also see the NCERT Exemplar book and solved the question
- Revise each chapters at least 2 times
