CBSE Class 11 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme 2025: As the 2025 examination is approaching fast, it is time that students devote their time effectively to preparation and then revision. CBSE Class 11 Chemistry Exam Pattern 2025
The CBSE Class 11 Chemistry question paper will have five sections: Section A,B,C, D and E. There will be 33 questions in the paper with internal choice. The exam pattern for class 12 is followed for class 11. Check the CBSE Class 11 Chemistry Exam Pattern below.

Section B
1. Type: Very Short Answer type questions
2. Questions: 5
3. Marks per question: 2 marks each
In this section students’ ability to write and explain answers will be tested. This section contains 5 questions with internal choice in one question.
Section C
1. Type: Short Answer type questions
2. Questions: 7
3. Marks per question: 3 marks each
This section contains 7 questions with internal choice in one question.
Section D
1. Type: Case based questions
2. Questions: 2
3. Marks per question: 4 marks each
The questions are case-based questions. Each question has an internal choice and carries 4 (2+1+1) marks each.
Section E
1. Type: Long Answer type questions
2. Questions: 3
3. Marks per question: 5 marks each
The questions are long answer types and carry 5 marks each. These questions demand in-depth understanding of topics. Students will have to provide elaborate responses for these questions.All questions have an internal choice.
