CBSE Class 11 Physics Practice Paper: Set-V

    Find CBSE Class 11 Physics Practice Paper (Set-V) for the coming exam. This paper contains important questions from 5th unit (System of Particles and Rotational Motion) of physics. These questions will not only help the students to prepare for exams in a better manner, but will also help them in understanding the depth with which a topic should be studied.

    Few sample questions from the Question Paper are given below:

    Q. A boy is sitting in the compartment of a train moving with uniform velocity on a smooth track. How will be the velocity of centre of mass of the compartment of the train will change if the person starts running in the compartment?

    Q. A physics teacher was explaining about center of mass in his class.

    He taught the students that some rigid bodies may have their centre of mass at the point where there is no mass. A student stood up and asked for some examples of such rigid bodies. The teacher gave plenty of examples.

    (i) What values did you observe in the student?

    (ii) Give few examples of such rigid bodies whose centre of mass does not coincide with their geometrical centre and there is no mass present at that point.

    Q. Explain why spin angular velocity of a star is greatly enhanced when it collapses under gravitational pull and becomes a ‘neutron star’?

    Q. A solid wooden sphere rolls down two different inclined planes of the same height but of different inclinations. Will it reach the bottom with same speed in each case or will it take longer to roll down one incline plane than other? Explain.

    Q. A particle performs uniform circular motion with an angular momentum L. If the frequency of the particle’s motion is doubled and kinetic energy halved then, how angular momentum will change?
