In this video we will learn about equal sets and its difference with equivalent sets.

  • In an equal set, the elements of the sets considered have the same elements.
  • In an equivalent set, the number elements will be same in the two set considered, but the elements of the set will be different.
  • For example: There two sets given as A = {a, b, c} and C = {1, 2, 3}.
  • On carefully seeing, you will find the number of elements in both the set are equal. Thus, it is an equivalent set.
  • The cardinal numbers, in case of an equivalent set, would be equal, i.e., n (A) = n (C).
