Central University of Orissa to launch 11 New Masters Courses

The Central University of Orissa (CUO), Koraput would initiate 11 new Masters courses and some new U.G courses from the university. The university will start Skill Development Programmes to produce skilled people and a qualified workforce for the future.

From the coming academic year, the Central University of Orissa (CUO), Koraput would initiate 11 new Masters courses and some new under graduate courses from the university.

The Vice Chancellor of Central University of Orissa, Prof Mohammad Miyan said, “Masters Programme in Fine Arts, Business Administration, Computer Application, Public Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Commerce, History, Political Science, Sanskrit and Hindi would be introduced in the university.”

There would be advertisements for filing up of the teaching posts for the above mentioned new courses about to being at CUO in various newspapers. Those who are qualified for the teaching posts could apply. The university is also starting Skill Development Programmes under the Centre for Tribal Welfare and Community Development in order to produce skilled people and a qualified workforce for the future.

The motif is to impart upgraded skills, knowledge base and nationally recognized qualifications to the youth from the region. Youth from Kalahandi Balangir Koraput Region (KBK) and other tribal regions would get highly benefit from the initiative and there would be huge usage of the Skill Development programme among this section of students, making them able to stabilize their futures with job opportunities.
