Chandigarh Police Notifies 94 Backlog Temporary Posts of Constables (SC Category)

Office of the Inspector General of Police, Union Territory of Chandigarh, invited applications for filling - up 94 backlog temporary posts of Constables (SC category) with Chandigarh Police in the pay scale of  Rs. 10300 -34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 3200. Interested candidates apply online till 15 November 2013 and send the print-out by post till 30 November 2013.

Eligibility Criterion:
Essential Qualifications: (10+2) or equivalent
Age limit: (as on 1 January 2013)
Minimum: 18 years
Minimum: 28 years

Physical Standards:
Height: 5 feet 7 inches (minimum)
Chest (only for Male candidates): 33 inches (with expansion of one and a half inch)

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done through a multi-staged selection process involving Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Written Test, Driving Test and Interview.

PET & PMT will tentatively be conducted in the month of February, 2014 at Police Lines, Sector 26,Chandigarh followed by Written Test, Driving Test & Interview.

Schedule for PET / PMT will be uploaded on the Chandigarh Police website www.chandigarhpolice.nic.in in January 2014.

Selected candidates, on appointment, can be deployed with any unit of Chandigarh Police i.e. Police Lines, Traffic, CIO, Operations Cell, Security, Police Stations, IRS etc. and anywhere in India.

Application Fees: Non-refundable application fees of Rs. 200 have to be paid through a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘Section Officer / Accounts, UT Police Headquarters’ payable at Chandigarh.

How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates should submit their application on-line through the website of Chandigarh Police www.chandigarhpolice.nic.in till 15 November 2013.

After submitting the online application, candidates should take its print-out and send the downloaded hard copy along with a copy of Self Attested copy of SC Certificate and original Bank Draft, as Application fees, by registered post to “The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Lines, Sector-26 Chandigarh” so as to reach the said authority on or before 30 November 2013.

Candidates can also deposit the downloaded hard copy of the online application form at the ‘Police Lines, Sedor-26, Chandigarh’ personally till 30 November 2013.

Candidates should not attach any other documents / testimonials with the application. All such documents will be checked / verifies at the time of Interview.
