    CLAT application form 2019 is available on the official CLAT website. CLAT 2019 application process would be completely online this year also but the exam would be held in offline mode. Aspirants can register for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) in the online mode only through the official website of the law entrance exam. Candidates need to submit the completed application forms for CLAT 2019 latest by March 31, 2019.

    Candidates appearing for the CLAT 2019 can refer to the table below with reference to the important dates for the CLAT 2019 Exam:

    CLAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria

    To be eligible for CLAT, the candidates must have secured:

    • Forty-five percent (45%) marks in Qualifying Exam (Class XII or equivalent) in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories.
    • Forty Percent (40%) marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

    The result of qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the course.

    CLAT 2019 - Things to check before filling the application form

    Candidates are advised to first ensure that they fulfill the eligibility conditions, requisite marks and claims under different categories etc., as stipulated in CLAT rules and by the respective NLUs. CLAT Consortium and organizing universities shall not be responsible for any loss. Mere submission of CLAT 2019 application does not confer on any candidate's right for admission. Admission is subject to verification of documents, minimum qualifications and other eligibility conditions prescribed as per CLAT rules.

    For details regarding information on admission to individual NLUs, candidates are required to go through the e-Brochures and also the individual NLU websites.

    How to fill CLAT 2019 Application form?

    Register for CLAT 2019

    To register for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), candidates need to fill their details such as their name, mobile number, email address and password. After filling all these details aspirants need to click on the 'Submit' button.

    Activate Account

    To activate their account, candidates need to enter their Mobile number and the OTP received on their mobile during the registration process. After entering the Mobile number and OTP in the form aspirants need to click the 'Activate' button to activate their account.

    Login to fill CLAT application form 2019

    On filling these details candidates are led to a page wherein they are provided instructions on how to fill their CLAT application form 2019. Some of the mentioned instructions are:

    Aspirants need to fill the below mentioned details in their CLAT application form:  

    • Full Name           
    • Gender
    • Date of Birth
    • Father's Name 
    • Mother's Name
    • Nationality
    • All India Category            
    • NRI Sponsored Category (if applicable)
    • Whether the candidate is a Person with Disability (PWD)
    • Percentage of Disability for Scribe Requirement
    • Whether the candidate is coming under BPL (Below Poverty Line)
    • State of Domicile             
    • State of Residence         
    • State of Nativity
    • Select the Course for Admission 2019
    • Qualification Exam Status (Appearing/Appeared or Passed)        
    • Year of Passing and Percentage in Qualifying examination

    Preview CLAT 2019 Application Form

    Finally, candidates are shown a preview of their filled application form for CLAT exam. After checking all the details mentioned by them, candidates need to click on the 'Submit' button. After clicking on the 'Submit' button, a dialogue box opens which asks candidates to ensure that all the data entered by them is correct because aspirants would not be allowed to make any changes in data once they submit their application form.

    Select Test Centre and NLU Preference

    Candidates need to provide three cities where they would prefer appearing for the CLAT 2019 and thereafter mention the NLU where they would like to secure admission. After filling these details, candidates need to click on the button stating - Save Test Centre and Admission Preference. Lastly candidates are provided a preview of the information submitted by them and thereafter they need to click on the 'Submit' button.

    After uploading all the required documents in the above mentioned format and file size candidates need to click on the 'Submit Document' button.

    CLAT 2019 – Payment of Exam Fees

    CLAT exam fee can be paid by candidates online through the payment gateway 'Razorpay'. Candidates need to note that additional bank charges may apply for online transactions.

    • CLAT 2019 Application Fee for Unreserved/SAP/OBC/ any other category students: Rs 4,000
    • Fee for SC/ST category students: Rs 3,500

    Q: I have done BA and I want to do law. Do I have any chance to write CLAT? Do I have to pursue graduation again for it?

    A: NO, you are eligible for CLAT exam if you have a minimum of 45 percent marks in your 10+2 examination. If you belong to the reserved category you required to scored a minimum of 40 percent marks in your 10+2 examination.
