CBSE has released the official notification for the CTET Exam (September) 2016. The examination will be held on 18 September 2016. Interested candidates can submit their application at the official portal of CTET.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to start the 10th Edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). The examination will be held to select eligible candidates for appointment as teachers for Class I to VIII.
Candidates are required to submit their application for CTET Exam 2016 online along with the latest photograph and signature. The particulars will be filled online and the scanned images of latest photograph and signature (in JPG format only) will be uploaded at the time of filling the application form. The candidates are advised to keep the scanned images of latest photograph and signature of the candidates ready in JPG format before applying online. CTET Admit Card 2016
After submission of the application forms, candidates are required to wait for the issue of CTET Admit card. The CTET admit card is to be released on 17 August 2016. Candidates are required to download the admit card online.
CTET 2016 Eligibility Criteria
Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage): Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage): Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.
CTET 2016 Examination Pattern
CTET Exam 2016 will comprise of two papers: Paper I will be for the Teachers of primary stage and Paper II will be for the Teachers of elementary stage. Candidates can either appear in any one of the Paper or can appear in both. The question paper will be objective type and will be bilingual (English/ Hindi).

Last date for Submission of On-line application: 18 July 2016
Last Date for submission of fee through E-challan or Debit/Credit Card: 19 July 2016 (before 3.30pm)
Final status of Candidates-Check Status & Particulars of candidates whose fees received: 20 July 2016
Period for On-line Corrections in Particulars (No correction will be allowed in any particulars after this date): 20-25 July 2016

The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi. The unaided private schools may exercise the option of considering the CTET. Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.
