Mode of CUET UG 2025 Exam
Unlike last year, this year, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2025 will be conducted exclusively in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. This means that all candidates will take the exam using a computer at designated test centers. This approach aims to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the examination process.
Medium of CUET 2025 Exam
The CUET UG exam will be conducted in 13 languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The students need to choose the language for the Question Paper while filling up the online Application Form, and it cannot be changed at a later stage.
Total Subjects in CUET 2025 Exam
A total of 37 subjects were offered in the CUET UG 2025 exam. The breakup of these subjects is as follows
- 13 Languages
- 23 Domain-specific
- 01 General Test
Candidates may choose up to a maximum of five (05) subjects, including languages and General Aptitude Test, irrespective of the subjects opted in class XII. However, the candidate needs to fulfil the eligibility criteria for a programme at a desired university.
Marking Scheme in CUET UG 2025 Exam
For multiple-choice questions: To answer a question, the candidates need to choose one option corresponding to the correct answer or the most appropriate answer. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner:
- Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
- Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1)
- Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0)
