Department of Atomic Energy Notified Recruitment for 06 Various Posts 2014

    Department of Atomic Energy, Heavy Water Board invites applications from the eligible candidates for filling up the following posts as indicated below. The Heavy Water Board (HWB), a constituent unit under Department of Atomic Energy in the Government of India is primarily responsible for production of Heavy Water (D2O) which is used as a 'moderator' and 'Coolant' in nuclear power as well as research reactors.

    Details of Posts

    1.    Name of Post: Scientific Officer/C (Medical - General Medicine)

           No. of Posts: 03 (Three).   [01 – UR and 02 – OBC]

    2.    Name of Post: Scientific Assistant/B (Lab Technician)

           No. of Posts: 03 (Three).   [01 – UR and 02 – OBC]

    Educational Qualification

    • For Scientific Officer  :

    (i) M.B.B.S. plus relevant Post Graduate Diploma including D.R.M or equivalent. OR

    (ii) M.B.B.S. with One Year Experience.

    • For Scientific Assistant/B (Lab Technician)  :

    (i) B. Sc. + One Year Diploma in Medical Lab Tech. (DMLT).  OR

    (ii) B. Sc. in Medical Lab. Tech. (MLT).  (Minimum 50% Marks in B. Sc. + 60% Marks in DMLT/ MLT).

     Age Limit & Relaxation 

     Age Limit for the candidates should be 30 Years as on 01.01.2014.

    Age Relaxation upto 5 years against reserved posts for STs and upto 3 years against reserved posts for OBCs.

    Age Relaxation for Ex-servicemen will be provided as per rules.

    Pay Scale/ Salary 

    • For Scientific Officer : PB – 3, Pay Scale of Rs. 15,600/- to Rs. 39,100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/- Per Month plus allowances
    • For Scientific Assistant/B (Lab Technician): PB – 2, Pay Scale of Rs. 9,300/- to Rs. 34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,200/- Per Month plus allowances

    How to Apply

    • Application should be made on good quality white A-4 size plain paper and should be in conformity with the format prescribed in proforma. Candidates are advised to ensure that the application is legible, preferably typed in English or Hindi only.
    • The Candidate’s Name, Address with Pin Code, Date of Birth should be written legibly in English in bold capital letters, even if a Candidate fills-in application form in Hindi.
    • The Application and the outer cover should be super scribed as “Post No. _________________ Name of the Post________________ against Advertisement No. HWB/01/2014”.
    • Only one application should be submitted for one post. Separate application should be submitted for each post if a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post.
    • A recent passport size photograph should be affixed on the right hand top corner of the application. One additional copy of passport size photograph with name of the candidate written on its back side, should also be sent along with the application.
    • Attested copies of Testimonials/ Certificates enclosed with the application :

    (i) Educational / Technical qualification (supported by appropriate mark sheets indicating the subjects offered at the examinations).

    (ii) Date of birth proof.

    (iii) Experience Certificates specifically stating the kind of work done should accompany the application.

    (iv) Certificates issued by the Competent Authority regarding the claim that the candidate belongs to SC, ST or  OBC [i) Non-Creamy Layer ii) Validity certificate should have been issued within one year] in the prescribed proforma.

    (v) Certificate from Appropriate Authority regarding physical disability (applicable to physically disabled persons only).

    (vi) Discharge from Defence Service (applicable to ex-defence personnel only).

    • Completed application should be sent to Administrative Officer- III, Government of India, Department of Atomic Energy, HEAVY WATER BOARD, Vikram Sarabhai Bhavan, 4th Floor, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai – 400 094.
    • The establishment reserves the right to reject candidate at any stage of recruitment.

    Selection Procedure                                                               

    The short listed candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in the Personal Interview, which will be  conducted by the administration.
