University of Delhi has begun the admissions to undergraduate courses on May 15, 2018 and students can apply for their choice of UG course before June 07, 2018. The application form is to be submitted in online mode only. Once, the application procedure for DU Admissions 2018 is completed, the University will release cut off lists for mentioning cut off marks required for admission to each undergraduate course. Students need to fulfil cut off marks criteria as well as eligibility criteria to secure admissions at more than 54000 UG courses offered at as many as 90 colleges, 16 Faculties, 87 Departments and 13 Centres of Delhi University.

DU Counselling Procedure 2018

1. Cut off List announcement

Each college of Delhi University will be announcing cut off list 2018 on its official website. The first cut off list of UG admissions will also be available on Delhi University’s website. The cut off list for DU Admissions 2018 will also be published on each college’s notice board in offline mode. However, students are advised to first check the cut off on the official website of the colleges. The cut off list of DU admissions 2018 mentions minimum marks required for securing seat of the particular course. The students need to calculate their ‘Best of Four Subjects Marks’ to be able to check if they are meeting the DU cut off marks 2018.

2. Document Verification –

The students need to get their educational and other relevant documents verified by the admission officer at the selected college of DU for pursuing undergraduate course. The students should carry the documents in original as well as photocopies (to be submitted at the college).

  • Class 10thBoard Examination Certificate and Mark Sheet
  • Class 12th mark sheet and provisional certificate/ original certificate
  • Recent character certificate issued either by the Principal of the school last attended or Class-1 Gazetted Officer.
  • SC/ST/PwD/CW/KM certificate (in students name) issued by the competent authority
  • OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate (in students name) caste must be in central list issued by http://ncbc.nic.in
  • Transfer  certificates  from  school/  college  as  well  as Migration  certificate  from Board/ University  are  required  from  those  students  who have passed  senior secondary exam from outside Delhi.
  • 2 or more passport size self –attested photographs
Note: The timings for Document Verification are - for Morning College: 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., Evening College: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

3. Admission Fee Payment –

After the documents are verified at the colleges, the status for approval by the college’s principal will be updated on each student’s DU Admission 2018 account. Thereafter, the students can proceed to pay the admission fee for confirming their seat allotment. The admission fee can be paid in online mode only. Before proceeding to make online admission fee payment for DU Admissions 2018, students must check the fees structure of the course as well as keep card/net banking details ready for making the fee payment.

4. Admission Confirmation/withdrawal –

After making the fee payment for DU Admissions 2018, the admission is confirmed. In case, the student wants to change their college or course, then they can participate in the subsequent admission procedure i.e. second round, third round and so on. But before participating in the next counselling rounds of DU Admissions 2018, students need to cancel their already confirmed seat allotment.

  1. The admission/seat cancellation can be done in online mode only.
  2. The students need to pay admission cancellation fee for withdrawing admission from the confirmed seat.
  3. To participate in second or further rounds of DU Admission Counselling 2018, students need to exercise the same procedure i.e. Admission registration, course and college selection, documents verification and fee payment.
  4. In case, there is extra amount paid by the students when  they changed the college then, it will be refunded to the bank account they have registered at the time of filling DU Application Form 2018.
