Eligibility Criteria for Engineer Mate, Seaman and Other Posts
Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:
Engineer Mate: Holder of Engine Driver of Fishing Vessel Certificate and should have passed class 10. Minimum 5 years sea experience is essential.
Senior Deck Hand: 8th Pass with 5 years’ service on sea going vessel with 2 year experience in helmsman & seamanship work.
Sukhani: 8th Pass with 5 years’ service on sea going vessel with 2 year experience in independent handling of mechanized craft fitted with auxiliary sails.
Tradesman : 10th pass with ITI certificate in Mechnical/Diesel/Fitter/Turner/Welder/Electrician/Instrumental/Carpentray. 2 Experiences in Engineering/Automobiles/Ship Repair.
Seaman: 10th Pass with 3 years’ service on sea going vessel with 2 year experience in helmsman & seamanship work.
Greaser: 10th Pass with 3 years’ service on sea going vessel on auxiliary machinery maintenance.
Tindel : 10th Pass with 10 years’ service on sea going vessel with 5 years experience in independent handling of mechanized craft fitted with auxiliary.
