Examination Pattern for SSC Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II) Examination -2012

State Selection Commission (SSC) issued notification for Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II) Examination, 2012. The examination is scheduled to be held on 15 and 16 September 2012. For examination pattern, read ahead.

State Selection Commission (SSC) issued notification for Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II) Examination, 2012. The examination is scheduled to be held on 15 and 16 September 2012. Candidates who have qualified the CGLTier- I examination held in July 2012 are eligible for appearing in the CGL (Tier-II) Examination.
 
Candidates who have applied for the posts of Assistants, Inspector of Income Tax/ Inspector (Central  Excise, Inspector (PO), Inspector (Examiner)  Sub- Inspector in CBI, Inspector of Posts,  Assistant Enforcement Officer, Divisional  Accountants, Accountants, Auditors, Tax Assistants, UDCs, will  have to appear in two papers: Paper -I and Paper -II

Candidates who have applied for the post of Sub-Inspector in Central Police Organizations, the  Examination will consist of one paper – Paper-II only, while those candidates who have applied for the post of Statistical Invigilators GR.II and Compliers will have to appear in all the three papers: Paper –I, Paper -II and Paper –III.

Paper-I will be of Arithmetical Ability, and Paper-II will be of English Language & Comprehension. Paper –III will be of Commerce/Mathematics/Statistics/Economics.

While Paper –I will have 100 questions, Paper –II and Paper-III will have 200 questions each. However, maximum marks for all the three papers are 200 marks.

The Commission will have full discretion to fix separate minimum qualifying marks in each of the papers and in aggregate of all the papers separately for each category(SC/ST/OBC/PH/ExS/General (UR)) taking into consideration among other things, category wise vacancies and category wise number of candidates. Only those candidates who qualify in all the papers as well as in the aggregate would be eligible to be considered for being called for the Personality Test/ Interview and/or Skill Test.

There will be different set of Questions for the papers on Arithmetic & General Studies for Visually Handicapped (VH) candidates, of 40% and above visual disability and opting for SCRIBE, that shall not have any component of Map/Graphs/Statistical Data/Diagrams/Figures/Geometrical problems/Pie-chart etc. However, components of other papers will be the same as that for other candidates.
