Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

1. Sr. Project Fellow cum Innovator: First class Masters degree in science with at least two years R&D working experience in the Himalaya.
2. Junior Research/Project Fellow (DST sponsored project): First class Masters Degree In Botany/Forestry/Environmental Sciences/ Agriculture with specialization in meteorology
3. Senior Research/Junior Research Fellow: First class M.Sc. in Botany/ Environmental Science/Forestry
4. Junior Research Fellow (IIRS funded project): First class Master degree in Botany/Forestry/ RS & GIS
5. Field Assistant: Intermediate
6. Junior Research Fellow (Earthwatch funded project): First class Master degree in Forestry

Age limit

1. Sr. Project Fellow cum Innovator: 32 years
2. Junior Research/Project Fellow (DST sponsored project): 28 years
3. Senior Research/Junior Research Fellow: 32 years
4. Junior Research Fellow (IIRS funded project): 28 years
5. Field Assistant: 28 years
6. Junior Research Fellow (Earthwatch funded project): 28 years

Pay Scale

• Sr. Project Fellow cum Innovator: Rs. 15,000/- per month + HRA
• Junior Research/Project Fellow (DST sponsored project): Rs. 16,000/-p.m. +HRA for NET qualified person
• Senior Research/Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 12,000 for JRF & Rs. 14,000/-pm for SRF +HRA as per Institute norms. Rs. 16,000/- for JRF & Rs. 18,000/- for SRF + HRA for NET qualified candidate
• Junior Research Fellow (IIRS funded project): Rs.16,000/- p.m. + 10% HRA
• Field Assistant: Rs. 6,000/- fixed p.m.
• Junior Research Fellow (Earthwatch funded project): Rs. 12,000/- +HRA for JRF/Project Fellow
