Girls Performed Better in HPBSE Board Class 10 Results

    Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBSE) declared its class 10 results on Monday and this time also girls turned out to be the real heroes. As per reports, Diksha Sharma of Bharti Vidyapeeth Public School, Baijnath, in Kangra district topped the exam by scoring 97.43% marks.

    This is the second time that girls have outshone boys. Earlier with the HPBSE class 12 results also girls came out performing outstandingly.

    About 1, 42,128 candidates appeared in the class X examination this year and out of which 80,650 pased the exams and about 26,205 got compartments. Unfortunately, this year the pass percentage of the board dipped to 57.19%, in the earlier year it was recorded as 61.16%.

    In total about 34 candidates reached the top ten lists out of which 20 were girls and 14 boys. The private schools have performed well in the exams and have grabbed near about all top positions whereas government schools encompasses only three toppers in the list.
