Haryana government on 5 February 2014 launched a "Mukhya Mantri Shiksha Deeksha Yojna" in all government schools of the state, which is a scheme based on the concept of activity-oriented learning. This scheme is aimed at enhancing the standard government education by having a qualitative change, informed an official.
Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda who launched the programme in Gurgaon, also have initiated a Facebook page where teachers will be able to share their best teaching practices and techniques am.ong others.
The CM also released a module of Class Readiness Programme to make parents of government school students become aware about all the activities to be carried out throughout the academic year, as stated in an official release.
730 School Heads and teachers from all over the state were present on the occasion and were honored by CM Hooda. In addition, the Non-Government Organizations who are contributing in the quality improvement programme, in the field of education sector were also called and honored by the Chief Minister, the release informed.
For those students who do not put up well with academic studies, the state government has introduced Sports Promotion Aptitude Tests (SPAT). These activities may produce interest among children to go to school.
