Haryana TET also called as HTET is a regular exam conducted each year in Haryana for the recruitment of primary teachers and post graduate teachers. There is a prevalent culture of becoming a primary teacher in Haryana. Teachers are the most important profession in nation building because the teachers sow the seed of nationality and intellectual enquiry among the new generation.

To become a government teacher in government schools, one must have the teaching aptitude and ability to teach at elementary, secondary and senior secondary levels. Recently, Haryana government had released the notification to accept the application for Haryana TET exam. The last dates of submitting application & correction in the particulars were 30-Nov-2018 and 03-Dec-2018 respectively. The HTET exam is scheduled to be held from 05-Jan-2019 to 06-Jan-2019. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours 30 minutes.

HTET exam comprises 150 MCQ questions and it will be organized in Pen-paper mode. The syllabus and difficulty level of the exam will be based on the 10+2 curriculum of the state board.  HTET exam will be conducted for three levels as described below-

- Level-1 (PRT, Primary teacher: Class I-V)

- Level-2 (Trained Graduate teacher: Class VI-VIII)

- Level-3 (Post graduate teacher: Class IX-XII)

HTET exam pattern 2018 for all levels PRT, TGT, and PGT

The qualifying marks in these exams for all categories (Except SC/ST & differently abled/ physically challenged category) of Haryana state and schedule castes, differently abled / physically challenged of other states are 60% of the total marks. While the qualifying marks for schedule castes, differently abled / physically challenged of Haryana state is 55% of the total marks. There shall be only one separate paper for PGT, PRT, and TGT exam.

  • For every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded.
  • No negative marking will be applicable in these exams.
