Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board Recruitment of Teachers 2011

Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board invites applications from eligible candidates for filling up the post of Trained Graduate Teachers across various disciplines. The HSSSB will conduct Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for the recruitment.

Important Dates

• Opening date for receipt of applications: 17 September 2011
• Last date for receipt of applications: 17 October 2011
• Last date for receipt of applications (from remote areas): 31 October 2011
• Tentative date for TET: 27 November 2011 (TGT Arts- Morning Session; TGT Non- Medical & Medical- Evening Session)
• Tentative date for TET: 4 December 2011 (Language Teacher morning session & Shastri evening session)

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: No upper age limit to take TET

Minimum qualifying marks in TET: The minimum qualifying marks in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is 60%.

Validity of Teacher Eligibility Test qualifying certificate: The TET qualifying certificate would remain valid for appointment for 7 years from the date of issuance of TET certificate. There will be no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a TET certificate. A person who has qualified TET may also appear again for improving his/ her score.

Application Fee: Application fee for General category candidates is Rs 500 and fee for SC, ST, OBC, BPL/ IRDP, Ward of Freedom Fighters and Ward of Ex-servicemen is Rs 200.

The application fee can be paid in the form of Demand Draft or crossed Indian Postal Order payable to the Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board, Hamirpur HP at Hamirpur.

How to Apply: Interested candidates can submit their application form complete in all respect with details along with 2 recent coloured photographs affixed on application form and admit card. Candidates can download application format from the webpage http://himachal.nic.in/hpsssb/. The application forms should reach to the Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board, Hamirpur HP-177001 on or before 17 October 2011 and for the candidates residing in district Lahaul and Spiti, District Kinnaur, Pangi and Bharmour Sub Division of Chamba District and Dodra Kwar Sub-Division of Shimla District on or before 31 October 2011.
