Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission invited applications for HPPSC Judicial Service Competitive Examination – II, for the recruitment to the post for Civil Judge. The candidates eligible for the post can apply online through the official website hppsc.hp.hov.in, in the prescribed format on or before 05 July 2016 (11.59 PM).
Under HPPSC Recruitment 2016, there are 07 Posts for Civil Judge (Junior Division).
Eligibility for HP Judicial Service Competitive Examination – II: candidate should have completed Degree in Law recognised by Bar Council of India as on 05 July 2016. Candidate should not be less than 22 year and More than 35 year old as on 05 July 2016.
Candidates are required to remit Fee of Rs. 400 (GN/UR) and Fee for Reserved categories is Rs.100.
HP Judicial Service Competitive Examination – II consists of Preliminary , Main examination and Viva Voice.
The Preliminary examination shall be of objective type, consisting of three paper of 100 marks each, candidates will be tested on Civil Law – I, Civil Law- II and Criminal Law. Preliminary examination is scheduled to be held on 04 September 2016. The results for preliminary examination tentatively will be announced on 25 September 2016.
The Main examination, scheduled to be conducted on 15 October 2016, will consist of written examination; consisting of 05 Papers of total 750 marks, Excluding 150 marks Viva Voice,. Candidates will be tested on the following subjects:
- Civil Law-I: Code of Civil Procedure. Indian Evidence Act, Indian Stamp Act, Himachal Pradesh Courts Act, 1976 and Specific Relief Act.
- Civil Law-II: Indian Contract Act, Hindu Law, Indian Limitation Act, Transfer of Property Act and H.P. Urban Rent Control Act.
- Criminal Law: Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Chapter-XVII (section 138 to 143) of the Negotiable Instruments Act, H.P. Excise Act-2011 as Applicable to the State of H.P., Wild Life Protection Act and Indian Forest Act.
- English Composition: A Choice from three Essays on General Subjects
- Language (Hindi)
Candidates qualifying Main written examination will be called for Viva Voice; Viva Voice will be of 150 Marks.
