Eligibility Criteria for Faculty and Other Posts
Educational Qualification
- Professor: A Post-Graduate degree in the concerned specialty mentioned in Part-A of Annexure-II or its equivalent qualifications. At least 4 years teaching experience as Associate Professor in the concerned specialty failing which an Associate Professor having 7 years teaching experience as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor combined in the concerned specialty.
- Associate Professor: A Post-Graduate degree in the concerned specialty as mentioned in Part-A of Annexure-II or its equivalent qualifications. At least 5 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned specialty failing which an Assistant Professor having 6 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor and Lecturer combined in the concerned specialty after Post Graduation.
- Assistant Professor: A Post-Graduate degree in the concerned specialty mentioned in Part-A of Annexure-II or its equivalent qualifications. At least 3 years teaching experience as Lecturer / Registrar / Demonstrator/ Resident after doing post-graduation in the concerned specialty in any recognized Medical College.
- Acharya: A good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent of 55 %, (Wherever the grading system is followed) in Acharya Degree in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from foreign University recognized by the Govt. of India. NET / SET qualified.
- Principal: Ph. D Degree (with first class either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy with 10 years’ experience in Teaching / Industry/ Research out of which 05 years must be at level of Professor or equivalent. OR Candidates from Industry/ Profession with First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy and with 10 years’ experience out of which at least 05 years’ experience at senior level comparable to that of a Professor would also be eligible.
- Manager/ Project Manager: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or its equivalent from a University / Institution recognized by H.P. Govt. OR Master’s Degree in Science or Commerce or Economics or Mathematics or Statistics or Business Administration or Operational Research or its equivalent from a University / Institution recognized by H.P. Govt.
- Assistant Director of Fisheries: Master’s degree in Zoology or Fisheries of a recognized University or Associate Diploma of the Central Institute of Fisheries Education Bombay or its equivalent. Minimum three years’ experience in Management and development of Fisheries OR B.Sc. in Zoology or Fisheries Science from any recognized University or its equivalent. Minimum five years’ experience in Management and development of Fisheries.
Maximum Age Limit for Professor and Associate Professor Jobs 2016
50 Years.
Maximum Age Limit for Assistant Professor, Acharya, Principal, Manager / Project Manager and Assistant Director of Fisheries Jobs 2016
45 Years.
