UPSC has released DAF for IAS Main Exam 2016. Candidates eligible for the same are required to submit it before 20 October. IAS Main exam is scheduled to be held on 03 December.
Union Public Service Commission/ UPSC has called for DAF submission from all the candidates who have been qualified for the IAS main exam 2016. Eligible candidates are required to pay application fee of Rs 200. However Female/SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of fee. No fee exemption is available to OBC candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
Candidates can pay the fee either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using Net Banking facility of SBI/State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit card.
Candidates who wish to pay through cash are required to print the system generated Pay-in-slip during filling of payment mode of Detailed Application Form and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only. Such candidates should note that the "Pay by Cash" mode will be deactivated on 19 October.
The online submission of the DAF along with the uploaded documents will be acknowledged electronically by sending email by the Commission. Hence candidates must ensure that they upload all the requisite documents before finally submitting the DAF. OBC non-creamy layer candidates are required to submit the proforma as well.
In addition to this, candidate must upload a scanned copy of the relevant certificate showing that he has one of the qualifications prescribed in Rule 7 of CSE Rules, 2016. The certificate uploaded must be one issued by the authority (i.e. University or other examining body) awarding the particular qualification. Attention is invited to Notes I and IV under Rule 7 of the Rules for the Civil Services Examination 2016. All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for taking the Civil Services (Main) Examination should require to upload the proof of passing the requisite minimum educational qualification along with their application for the Main Examination failing which such candidates will not be admitted to the Main Examination and their candidature will be cancelled. (Please refer Rule 7 of CSE Rules, 2016).
Candidates in Government service or those serving under Public Enterprises are required to upload an undertaking (as in the Declaration in the Detailed Application Form) that they have informed in writing their Head of Office/ Department that they have applied for the Examination
While appearing for the main examination, candidates are required to bring extra copies of the photograph similar to the one uploaded in the application form.
