IBPS CWE PO/MT-IV Exam 2014: Exam Pattern

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released notification for common written examination for the recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainee (MT) in Public Sector Banks 2014.

The candidates can register for Common Recruitment Process (CWE PO/MT-IV) for getting selected for Probationary Officers and Management Trainee posts. The Common Written Examination (CWE) will be conducted by IBPS tentatively on 11 October 2014/ 12 October 2014/ 18 October 2014/ 19 October 2014/ 01 November 2014/ 02 November 2014.

The tentative date for the start of the online registration is 22 July 2014 and the closing date of registration is 11 August 2014.

The structure of the Common Written Examination which will be conducted online is as follows:

The online written examination includes a paper that consists of five different sections that are Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry) and Computer Knowledge. There will be 200 objective type questions carrying one mark for each. The duration for completion of the examination is 2 hours. The division of questions/ marks for each section is as follow:

NOTE:

The above tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.
There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test/section and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for the next round -- Interview.
