Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Mumbai issued notification inviting applications for recruitment to the post of Scientist ‘C’ at the Genetic Research Centre (GRC), Mumbai under ICMCR, Mumbai. The candidate is expected to initiate research programmers in applied reproductive genetics or human genetic disorders and also to plan and execute research project and to assist the Director and other Scientists in conducting research in thrust areas of the Institute /Centre.

Eligibility Criterion
Age limit: not more than 40 years
(Upper age limit is relax-able up to 5 years for Government servants and SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH category candidates)
Qualifications: MBBS or M.V.Sc. Degree with 4 years experience in Genetics or related subjects OR
Master’s Degree in Genetics or Life Sciences or equivalent degree with 4 years R&D experience in the relevant subject OR
M.Sc. in Genetics or Life Science or related subjects with Ph.D degree in Genetics and 4 years experience in bio-medical subject
Desirable Qualifications: Post Doctorate in Genetic or related Science subjects or MD/ Ph.D in Genetic or related subject with Additional Post doctoral research/ teaching experience in Genetic or relevant subjects and Knowledge of Computer Applications
Selection Procedure: Selection of candidate will be done on the basis of their performance in the personal discussion/ Interview.
Only short-listed candidates will be called for the personal discussion/ Interview.
Candidates called for personal discussion/ interview have the option to answer in Hindi also.
The post carry all India transfer liability under the Council.
Travel Allowance: Candidates called for the personal discussion/ Interview will be paid IInd class rail fare by the shortest route on production of documents.
Application Fees: Non-refundable application fee is to be paid through a crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) for Rs.100 payable to the ‘Director-in-Charge, Genetic Research Centre, Mumbai’.
(SC/ ST/ Women and Physically Handicapped candidates (PH) are exempted from payment of application fee. All others including ICMR employees have to pay the required application fee through IPO.)
