IGDTU notifies admission to 10 Under-graduate and post-graduate level programs

    Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University (IGDTU) for Women, formerly Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, was established in 1998 by DTTE, Government of NCT Delhi. Recently the Institute has been upgraded to a women’s technical University.

    IGDTU issued notification for admission to various Under-graduate and post-graduate programs for the academic session 2013-2014. Interested students can apply for admission to the desired course till 1 July 2013.

    Important dates:

    Last Date for receipt of application forms: 1 July 2013

    Date for release of list of shortlisted candidates: 10 July 2013

    Counseling begins: 15 July 2013

    Eligibility: Only women candidates are eligible to apply.

    For B. Tech., M.C.A. and M. Tech. Weekend programs:

    Seats will be filled up through CET 2013 conducted by GGSIP University. For details visit www.ggsipu.ac.in.

    For Regular M. Tech. programs:

    Age limit

    Minimum: 21years (as on 1 September 2013).

    Minimum 60% or equivalent in qualifying exam -- B. Tech. / B.E. degree in relevant discipline or equivalent OR AMIE/ AMIETE in relevant discipline OR MCA / M. Sc in relevant discipline

    Candidates with valid GATE score shall be given preference.

    Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination are eligible to apply.

    NOTE: Admission to B. Tech., M.C.A. and M. Tech. Weekend programs will be carried out by GGSIP University but the degree will be awarded by IGDTU for Women.

    Counseling Procedure

    Detailed schedule of first counseling / admissions indicating the number of qualified candidates to be called for counseling will be announced on the University's Website www.igit.ac.in prior to commencement of counseling on or before 10 July 2013. Selected candidates should report at the notified venue on the scheduled date and time for counseling / admission, along with relevant documents, which they will be required to produce for verification, when asked for.

    Candidates will be offered seats depending on the merit and availability of seats.

    If some seats remain vacant after the first counseling, then a Second Counseling will be held. Detailed Schedule of Second Counseling for all the programs will be also displayed on the University's Website.

    While attending the counseling, candidate must bring all certificates in original including GATE Score Card (if applying as GATE qualified candidate) and their self-attested copies (at least two) and  Bank Draft(s) of requisite fee drawn in favor of "The Registrar, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women-Student Fee SB Account" payable at Delhi.

    Candidates should write their name, name of the program and contact number, on the back of Bank Draft(s).

     

    Admitted students would be required to fill the Challan form -- available at the Admission Desk -- at the time of Admission.

    A candidate who is allotted a seat will be required to pay complete fee immediately else the offer will be withdrawn and the seat will be allotted to the next candidate in the merit list.

    On deposition of fees, Admission Officer will give a duly signed Admission Slip to the candidate.

    How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates should send their completely filled in application form along with relevant enclosures, to “The Admission Officer, Room No. 206, Administrative Block, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, Old GGSIP University Campus, Kashmere Gate, Delhi – 110006” so as to reach the concerned authority by 1 July 2013 (1700 hours).

    Applications can also be submitted by hand at the given address by the prescribed last date.

    Candidates using downloaded application form are required to submit a Bank Draft of Rs.500 drawn in favor of “The Registrar, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women-Student Fee SB Account” payable at Delhi along with the application form.

    Candidates should write their Name, name of the program and contact number at the back of Draft.

    Candidate willing to apply for more than one program will have to select the appropriate programs in the same Application Form. Single DD will suffice.
