Eligibility Criteria for Assistant & Other Posts

Educational Qualification: 

  • Deputy Librarian: Master’s degree in Library Science / Information Science/Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade. Persons holding analogous post or with at least 8 years experience as an Assistant Librarian in the pre-revised scale of pay of `8000-275-13500/-or PB-3 with GP 5400 above preferably in a Central Technical/Management Institute or University. Evidence of innovative library service like implementation of RFID Technology, Digital Library, published work and professional commitment. Desirable: M.Phil/Ph.D. degree in appropriate discipline. Knowledge of library computerization, evidence of innovative library service, professional commitment and relevant publications
  • Assistant Registrar (PB-3): Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks, or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC seven point scale along with good academic record. Minimum 8 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Accounting, Auditing, Financial procedures, Administrative matters including Legal, Labour relations & laws, Public relation, Recruitment, Establishment, Academic matters such as conduct of examinations, maintenance of student records, Estate Management, Materials Management and Import procedure, of which at least 5 years in a Supervisory/Superintendent capacity in the (prerevised) pay scale of Rs 6500 - 10500/ - ,or PB - 2,Rs.9300 – 34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/ - in a Central Technical/Management Institute or University.. Computer proficiency and ability to work independently will be preferred (a) Over all responsibility/ supervision & monitoring of the Section/ Unit concerned, (b) Implementation and follow - up action on the policy matters of the Institute and (c) Any other work as may be assigned by the authorities of the Institute from time to time.
  • Assistant Engineer (Civil) (PB-2): B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from recognized Indian University/Institute approved by AICTE, with first class or equivalent grade. (ii) At least 05 years relevant supervisory experience in the area of civil works. The candidate should have experience in design & estimation, construction & maintenance of multi storey buildings, roads, drains, structural work, interior and all kinds of finishing works, including sanitary and plumbing works. Candidate with post graduate qualifications in civil with Estate Management experience in educational institute will be preferred. Desirable: Candidate should have knowledge of computer applications. Stay on campus is mandatory.
  • Medical Officer (PB-3): MBBS including completion of compulsory rotatory internship followed by at least 03 years of experience in a recognized hospital. OR Postgraduate Diploma in an appropriate branch of Medicine plus at least one year experience in a recognized hospital OR M.D. or M.S. in an appropriate branch of Medicine. The Medical Officer will have to perform shift duties (OPD/ Indoor) including night shift, emergency duties, vaccination clinic and any other work assigned by the institute. Stay on campus is mandatory
  • Accountant (PB-3): Master Degree (with 50% marks) in Commerce. 5 Years’ experience in maintenance of accounts in Government Educational institutions/Universities/ Working knowledge of accounting software/Tally and institutional accounting systems is desirable
  • Assistant (PB-2): Graduate/Diploma in Management/Diploma in Office Management. Computer Proficiency: Modern office software/ Word Processing Speed 40 wpm. Candidate should have knowledge of computer applications Minimum 5 years’ experience at Junior Assistant Level. Preference will be given to the candidates with good academic records, experience of working in a reputed management/technical institutes, excellent communication skills and computer skills.

  • Assistant Registrar (PB-3): 45 years
  • Assistant Engineer (Civil) (PB-2): 35 years
  • Medical Officer (PB-3): 45 years
