Eligibility Criteria for IIT Kharagpur Non-Teaching Post
Educational Qualification and Experience
- Senior Research Fellowship (Industrial and Systems Engineering) - M.Tech or equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering / Production Engineering / Mechanical / IT / CSE / ECE with two years research experience
- Junior Research Fellowship/Senior Research Fellowship (Computer Science and Engineering) - For JRF Post, B.Tech with valid GATE/NET score OR M.Tech in CSE or related discipline is required. Minimum 75% or CGPA 8.0 at all levels i.e.., Class X, XII, BTech/MTech. While for SRF Post two years of research experience, in addition, is essential with same qualification as JRF.
- Junior Research Fellowship/Senior Research Fellowship (Mechanical Engineering) - For JRF Post, B.Tech with valid GATE/NET score OR M.Tech in mechanical engineering/Chemical Engg./Bio-Technology/Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry/Bio-medical Engg. is required. While for SRF Post two years of research experience, in addition, is essential with same qualification as JRF
- Junior Research Fellowship/Senior Research Fellowship (Electrical Engineering) - For JRF Post, B.Tech with valid GATE/NET score OR M.Tech in Instrumentation, Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required. While for SRF Post two years of research experience, in addition, is essential with same qualification as JRF
- Junior Research Fellowship (Civil Engineering) - Bachelors/Masters degree in any area of Science/Engineering. Candidates with a Bachelors degree in civil engineering with valid GATE/NET score OR Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or M.Tech. in Earth and Atmospheric Science; Remote sensing would be preferred.
- Junior Research Fellowship (Ranbir and Chitra Gupta School of Infrastructure Design and Management) - B. Tech with valid GATE/NET score in Civil Engineering OR M. Tech in Civil Engineering
- Research Assistant - Masters in Science/Commerce/Arts OR M.B.A. OR M.Phil. First Division and 1 year of experience
- Project Engineer (Civil Engineering) -Bachelors/Masters degree in any area of Science/Engineering and experience in handling software and large-scale model installation, model simulations and analysis, troubleshooting computational errors in scientific computing.
