IIT Patna Jobs Notification:

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna invited applications for the posts of Registrar and other posts. Post of Registrar will be on Regular Basis by serving 01 (one) as probation and rest all other posts are purely on Temporary/ Contractual Basis, initially for the period of 03 (three) years and likely to be confirmed.  The eligible candidates can apply to the posts through the prescribed format on a plain paper so as to reach on or before 19 September 2016.

Eligibility Criteria for IIT Patna Registrar and Other Jobs:

Educational Qualification:

1. Registrar/ Deputy Registrar/ Assistant Registrar: Possess Post- Graduate Degree in the respective discipline.
2. Superintending Engineer/ Senior Technical Superintendent: Possess BE/ B. Tech. Degree in appropriate discipline.
3. Executive Engineer: Possess Degree in Engineering in the concerned field.
4. Assistant Engineer: Possess Engineering Degree or Diploma in the respective field.
5. Medical Officer: Possess MBBS Degree.
6. Security Officer: Possess Graduate Degree.
7. Training and Placement Officer: Possess BE/ B. Tech. Degree or M.Sc. Degree in respective discipline or MBA.
8. Audit/ Accounts Officer/ Junior Assistant: Possess Bachelor’s Degree in the respective discipline.
9. Junior Technical Superintendent: Possess BE/ B. Tech. Degree or MCA or Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree or M. Sc. Degree in respective discipline.
10. Junior Superintendent: Possess Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree in respective discipline.
11. Junior Mechanic/ Technician: Possess Diploma or ITI in the concerned field.

Experience Required:

1. Registrar: 15 years
2. Deputy Registrar: 05 years
3. Superintending Engineer: 10 years
4. Executive Engineer/ Senior Technical Superintendent: 03 years
5. Assistant Engineer: 03 years for Degree and 08 years for Diploma
6. Security Officer/ Audit/ Accounts Officer: 08 years
7. Training and Placement Officer: 06 years
8. Junior Technical Superintendent: 03/ 02 years (whichever applicable as per qualification)
9. Junior Superintendent: 03 years with Master’s Degree and 05 years with Bachelor’s Degree
10. Junior Mechanic/ Technician: 01 year with Diploma and 03 years with ITI
11. Junior Assistant: 01 year

Age Limit 

1. Registrar/ Superintending Engineer: 55 years
2. Deputy Registrar/ Executive Engineer: 50 years
3. Assistant Engineer/ Medical Officer/ Security Officer/ Assistant Registrar/ Training and Placement Officer: 40 years.
4. Senior Technical Superintendent/ Audit/ Accounts Officer: 35 years
5. Junior Technical Superintendent/ Junior Superintendent: 32 years
6. Junior Mechanic/ Technician/ Junior Assistant: 27 years
7. OBC/ SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex- Serv./ Others: As per norms

Selection Procedure for IIT Patna Registrar and Other Jobs:

The short listed candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in the Written Test and/ or Personal Interview, which will be conducted by the administration.
