The government is all set to establish India Innovations Centre for the promotion of science and showcase of innovation and research moral within the nation. Addressing the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2015, YS Chowdary, Minister of State for Science and Technology, Gujarat said that setting up Innovations centre can resolve the issues related to showcasing a product in the market and its connectivity with the needful population.
Chowdary further added that though Indian scientists and research persons have a good number of publications in reputed journals, they do not have a worthy network. Indian research sector lacks good global connectivity. He also emphasized on one of the important objectives of the innovation centre. The innovation we can promote women to enhance their productivity, farmers to take insurance for their health and crop, development of medical instruments and applications.
The government proposed Indian Innovation Centre will have all the States as its members. There’s also proposal for establishing science city in each and every State of the country
