•    UNAIDS HIV AIDS report 2011 revealed a dramatic decrease of 56 per cent between 1996 and 2010 in the number of new HIV infections in India.
•    Delhi Cabinet approved conferring of lifetime achievement awards for 2011-12 on sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan, renowned Hindustani vocalist Girija Devi and noted author Ruskin Bond.

•    Indian Rupee hit All-time Low of Rs. 52 per dollar.
•    The Indian government’s decision to launch its maiden bid round for exploration of shale gas during the XII Plan (2012-17) announced.
•    Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on 22 November 2011 decided to set up an 11-member Athletes Commission to give more representation to sportspersons.
•    Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion proposed 26 per cent foreign direct investment (FDI) in domestic airlines

23 November 2011
•    DJB, Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) and KG Renewables Ltd signed a memorandum of understanding for setting up a pilot plant at the Keshopur STP for producing bio-fuel.
•    Cyrus P. Mistry chosen to succeed Tata group chairman Ratan Tata as the group’s new chairman in 2012.

24 November 2011
•    Tamil Nadu government banned the screening of Hollywood film Dam 999 directed by Sohan Roy with immediate effect.
•    As per the data released, food inflation dropped to a four-month low of 9% for the week ended 12 November 2011
•    Union cabinet on 24 November 2011 approved 51 per cent foreign direct investment (FDI) in multi-brand retail.

25 November 2011
•    As per the Supreme Court directive, a team of the Survey of India started checking the foundations and minarets of the Taj Mahal.
•    The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs cleared 18 foreign direct investment (FDI) proposals enabling a forex inflow of about Rs.2126.20 crore
•    Indian government inked a path-breaking tripartite peace agreement with a prominent insurgent group of Assam, United People’s Democratic Solidarity (UPDS)

•    The High Level Expert Group on Universal Health Coverage for India held a session to address World Bank concerns centred around marginalisation of the private sector in healthcare
