The National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting body for JEE Main 2019, has released a very important notice for candidates belonging to economically weaker sections (EWS) category. As per the notification, the candidates who come under EWS category and have a valid certificate issued by the competent authority will have to mention such category in the online application form of JEE Main 2019 from March 11 to 15 at www.jeemain.nic.in. This is applicable for all students of January and April session of JEE Main 2019. Students are not required to upload their EWS Category Certificate in the JEE (Main) Portal. However, the same will be required at the time of filling up of the application for JEE Advanced 2019.
The national testing agency (NTA) has also shared important information regarding the question paper and answer key of JEE Main April 2019. As per the information, the answer key and question paper will be displayed on the official website i.e., www.jeemain.nic.in. Before publishing the answer key and question paper, the date shall be displayed on the NTA Website. The facility for challenging the JEE Main Answer Key 2019 will also be provided to appeared students. Students may submit as many challenges with a payment of Rs.1000/- per question. The fee can be paid by the Credit/Debit Card/Net/UPI Banking. In case challenges of the candidates are accepted by NTA, the fee of Rs.1000/- per question paid by such candidates will be refunded.
Note: Previously, as per the Information Bulletin for JEE Main April 2019, the fees for challenging answers was non-refundable.
A total of 9,41,117 candidates appeared for the first attempt of JEE Main 2019 which was conducted in 10 shifts between January 8 and 12. This year, the National Testing Agency is giving another opportunity to engineering aspirants to improve their JEE Main Result 2019 by appearing again for the exam in the April. The registration process for the same will be concluded on 7th March 2019. Those candidates who have already appeared in JEE Main January 2019 can also appear in JEE Main April 2019 Examination for improvement. The candidates who could not appear in the JEE Main January 2019, may also appear in JEE (Main) April 2019 Examination. The final merit list of JEE Main 2019 will be prepared after considering the student’s best of the two NTA scores obtained in January and April sessions of JEE Main 2019.
