JIPMER Openings Job Notification 2017, The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) invited applications for 66 posts of Senior Residents (SR) on Regular Basis. The interested and eligible candidates can appear for a Written Test/ Walk-In-Interview on two separate days. The interviews will be held on 12 & 13 April 2017 from 8:30 AM.
The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) is a medical school in India, and the oldest to teach European medicine in Asia. It is located at Pondicherry, the capital of the union territory of Pondicherry, in southern India. JIPMER is an Indian central government funded institute with autonomy to run its internal administration. JIPMER is both an educational institute that imparts undergraduate and postgraduate medical training and a working hospital that provides inexpensive medical care to a large number of patients. JIPMER is an institute of national importance and a tertiary care referral hospital that is under the direct administrative control of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It is therefore considered prestigious to work for this organization. The desirous applicants hence can join as Senior Residents on Regular basis by facing the laid down recruitment procedure.

Eligibility Criteria for Posts under JIPMER 2017
Educational Qualification:
A Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in respective discipline from recognized university/Institute.
If candidates i.e., MD/MS/DNB are not available/eligible in any particular specialty, those who are having 02 years Post Graduate Diploma after M.B.B.S in the concerned specialty can be considered.
For the Post of Senior Resident in Emergency Medical Services Department (Casualty) the candidate should possess M.B.B.S Degree and 02 years’ experience in Emergency Services in recognized Hospital/Institution. MD/DNB in Medicine or M.S/DNB in General Surgery will be preferred
Age Limit for Posts under JIPMER 2017
Not exceeding 33 years for those having Post Graduate qualification
Not exceeding 35 years for Post-Doctoral Degree holders (DM/M.Ch)
With usual relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC as per rules.
(Upper age limit for Persons with Disabilities shall be relax-able by 10 years. 15 years
for SCs/STs and 13 years for OBCs. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of
relevant disability shall alone be eligible for reservation and age relaxation.)
