Jharkhand is located on the Eastern side of India. This mineral rich state is the habitat of some of the main tribes of India. Being rich in the minerals its various industries are located in the state. The 28th state of the Indian Union was brought into existence by the Bihar reorganization Act on November 15, 2000. It is on the fifteenth rank in area. It is called as “Ruhr of India” due to it’s overwhelmingly availability of minerals. It also has 32% reserves of the total coal reserves in India. Forests and woodlands occupy more than 29% of the state which is amongst the highest in India.
