Life Insurance Corporation of India issued notification for recruitment to 750 posts of Assistant Administrative Officer with it. Interested candidates can apply on line till 1 April 2013.

Vacancy Details:
Total Vacancies: 750 posts
Name of the Post: Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO)

Age Limit (as on 1 March 2013):
Minimum: 21 years
Maximum: Not more than 30 years
[Upper age limit relax able for SC/ST candidates by 5 years, for OBC candidates by 3 years and further relaxation of 5 years for confirmed LIC employees.]

Educational Qualification: Bachelor / Master’s Degree from a recognized University.

Emoluments & Benefits: Basic pay of Rs.17240 per month in the scale of Rs.17240- 840(14) –29000– 910(4)–32640 and other admissible allowances.
Total emoluments inclusive of HRA & City Compensatory Allowance will be approximately Rs.33418 per month in ‘A’ Class city.

Service Conditions: Posts are regular and selected candidates, on appointment, are liable to be posted or subsequently transferred anywhere in India.
Probation: One year, extendable up to 2 years.

Guarantee Bond: Before joining as a Probationer, candidates will be required to give an undertaking to serve the Corporation for a minimum period of four years from the date of joining (including probationary period) failing which, he/she will be liable to pay liquidated damages of Rs.100000 (Rupees one lakh only) to the Corporation.

The candidate will have to submit a Deed of Indemnity for Rs.100000 (Rupees one lakh only) at his cost, duly
stamped, the stamp value of which will be as applicable to the State in which the deed is executed by the candidate.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Online Test followed by a personnel Interview of Shortlisted candidates and Medical Examination.

A Online examination will be held at various centers all over India on 11 / 12 May 2013 (tentatively) at the allotted Centre at their own expense. Details of Online test that will be of objective type, multiple choices are as follows:

There will be a penalty of one fourth (1/4 ) of the marks assigned to the question for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests.

Candidate must pass in each Section separately and should also obtain minimum marks in the aggregate to qualify for the interview.

The number of candidates to be called for interview will be about three times the number of vacancies to be filled in. Candidates will have to obtain the minimum marks in the interview as decided by the Corporation

Candidates, called for interview, will have to submit duly signed System Generated Print Out of the On-line application, copy of the call letter duly signed by the invigilator during the examination, Receipt of fee and
also produce original, attested copies of all relevant certificates, failing which their candidature shall be liable to be cancelled.

Shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination and if found medically fit, will be offered appointment.

Travel Allowance: Outstation candidates called for interview shall be entitled for re-imbursement of Second Class Ordinary to and fro Railway/Bus Fare by the shortest route from the place of residence to the place of interview to be restricted to the fare by Railway Second Class Sleeper including the Reservation charges.

Call Letters for on-line test will be available for download on the website from
first week of May, 2013. Intimation for downloading call letter will also be sent through e-mail/SMS.
Candidate will be required to use (i) Registration Number, (ii) Password (iii) Date of Birth for downloading the call letter.

Candidates are required to affix their recent photograph on the call letter and appear at the exam centre with the Call Letter and Photo Identity Proof -- PAN Card / Passport / Driving Licence / Voter’s ID Card / Bank Pass Book with photograph / Photo ID proof issued by a Gazetted Officer / People’s Representative along with Photograph/Identity Card issued by a recognized college/university /Aadhar Card with photograph/Employee ID card of Central / State / PSUs should be submitted to the Invigilator for verification -- in original and copy thereof.

Application Fee: Non-refundable application fee of Rs.500 (for General and OBC Candidates) / Intimation Charges of Rs.50 (for SC / ST / PH Candidates) has to be paid either through online mode or through offline mode. Applicable Bank charges will have to be borne by the candidates.

Offline Mode: The Application Fee / Intimation Charges can be paid from second working day after the online
registration begins and should be made within 3 working days thereafter at any branch of State Bank of India by cash only. Candidates are advised to preserve the payment challan with them for reference and use in future.

Online Mode: The Application Fee / Intimation Charges can be paid using Master / Visa Debit or Credit Cards or through Internet Banking by providing the information asked, while filling in the online application form, If the online transaction is successfully completed, a Registration Number and Password will be generated. Candidates should retain this Registration Number and Password for future reference.

Payment of Application Fee/Intimation Charges has to be done after successful registration of the application else application will be treated as cancelled.

How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates can apply online through LIC’s Official website

If the candidate has deposited the fee online, along with the online application form, then on successful submission of online application form, a Registration Number and Password will be generated. Candidates should retain this Registration Number and Password for future reference.

If the candidate wants to deposit fees through offline mode, then after submitting the online application form, he/she should take a printout of the system generated fee payment Challan, deposit the fee at any branch of State Bank of India by cash only, take a print out of the system generated a  Registration Number and Password and retain it for further use.
