MBA Entrance Exam Alert: ATMA 2016 Notification for Admission in MBA Programmes

    Association of Indian Management School (AIMS) has invited applications from various candidates to apply for MBA / PGDM / MCA Admissions for the session 2016 – 17. All the interested and eligible candidates can apply through proper channel latest by 02 May, 2016.

    The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) was formed in 1988 as a network of management schools in the country at the National Conference of the Heads of Management Education Institutions on “National Education Policy and its Implications for Management Education in the Country” held at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in April 1988.

    ATMA was launched in 2000 to meet the expressed desire of AIMS members for a high quality test, the scores of which would be used in the admission process as a reliable predictor of academic performance in post graduate management programmes. The first Test was conducted on Sunday, 20th February, 2000, at several centres in India. 

    Eligibility Criteria for ATMA – 2016

    Candidates must be a graduate (Art / Science / commerce disciplines) from a recognized institution or university with a minimum percentage of 50% at graduation level.

    Final year candidates can also apply but must submit the documents before the last given dates.

    Age limit for ATMA – 2016

    No maximum age limit restrictions for ATMA as per Association of Indian Management School (AIMS) but candidate should be at least of 21 years.

    Selection procedure for ATMA – 2016

    Association of Indian Management School (AIMS) will shortlist candidates for admission in MBA / PGDM / MCA programmes for the session 2016 – 17 on the basis of score obtained in ATMA.

    How to apply for Aims Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) – 2016

    All eligible candidates will be required to register online only. Following is the process for registration;

    • The Registration Fee for ATMA is of Rs.1100/- (Rupees Eleven Hundred only) and you can pay using your Credit / Debit Card / Net Banking / Bank Transfer / By Cash through FCC / Distributor.
    • The candidate should fill his/her details like Full name, Correct Email ID, Mobile Number and Date of Birth in the On-line Fee Payment form. (Important: You should write correct mail ID and date of Birth).
    • After filling in all the details, you have to click on the button: “click here to register for ATMA”.
    • After successful registration for the test, the candidate should take two printouts of the filled-in Application (Registration Form). You will receive an auto-generated mail to your email address which has the login credentials for the candidate i.e. username and password.
    • By using her/his login credentials, s/he can print the filled in registration form or admit card or test result. Hard copy of the test result will not be sent unless otherwise specifically requested for.
    • Candidates are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided in the Form.

    Aims Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) Examination Pattern

    The ATMA will be an online line objective type exam. There will be no descriptive type questions in the exam.

    There will be 1 mark for each correct question and 0.25 negative marking. The exam will be of multiple choice question pattern where each question is followed by 4 choices.

    ATMA will be online test of 3 hours duration. Exam paper will be consisted of 180 MCQ questions. MCQ format based questions will be asked from 6 sections;

    Test Centres for Aims Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) - 2016

    Normally, ATMA is conducted in the following Test centres;

    Ahmedabad (Gandhi Nagar), Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, New Delhi, Ghaziabad, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolhapur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi and Thane.

    Test cities may be cancelled, combined or changed depending on the number of candidates in specific centre(s) or new centre(s) added to the above list.

    Similarly, option is available to the candidate to choose two test cities according to their choice, so that, in case the first city is not available, the second city gets included in the admit card automatically.

    Change of test centre is not allowed, except for valid reasons in exceptional cases where the request for change is made well in advance i.e., at-least 5 days before the test, and subject to availability of seats and the approval of test administrator.
