Eligibility Criteria for Recruitment in Maharashtra Public Service Commission

Educational Qualification: Degree in Law

Desirable Qualification: Candidate must have sufficient knowledge of Marathi so as to enable him to speak, read and write in Marathi and to translate with facility from Marathi into English and vice versa.

Age Limit (as on 1 November 2012): Maximum 25 years (for Fresh Law Graduates); Maximum 35 years (for Advocate, Attorney or Pleader); Maximum 45 years (for members of Ministerial Staff High Court/ Courts Subordinate to High Courts, staff working as Legal Assistant and above in the legal section of the Law and Judiciary Department in Mantralaya and Staff of the Office of the Government Pleaders attached to those courts)

Selection Procedure for Recruitment in Maharashtra Public Service Commission: Selection will be made on the basis of Preliminary Examination (1 paper of 100 marks), Main Examination (2 papers of 100 marks each) and Viva-Voce (50 marks).
