National Board of Examinations (NBE) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health, Government of India. Established in 1975 at New Delhi, its objective is to standardise postgraduate medical education and examination in India. - Opening Date for downloading Application Form: 13 April 2012

- Date for Centralised Entrance Test (CET): 10 June 2012
Eligibility Criteria for CET- June 2012
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed the final examination leading to the award of Post Graduate Diploma from any Indian University recognised as per provisions of Indian medical Council Act 1956, Govt of India on or before 31 December 2011
Selection Procedure for Admission through CET- June 2012
Appearance in the Post Diploma CET is an essential pre-requisite for entry to the DNB Broad Specialities (Secondary Seats) June 2012 admission session. The candidates will be selected on the basis of the marks obtained followed by counselling for the seats
Examination Pattern for CET- June 2012
The CET will be Multiple Choice Examination (MCQ) based examination comprising of 180 question of 1 mark each as per the following indicative scheme:
- Applied Basic Science
- Human Biology
- Applied Pathology, Microbiology and Pharmacology
- Medicine and Allied Sciences
- Surgical and Allied Sciences
- Obstetrics and Gyanaecology
- Community Medicine
How to Apply for CET- June 2012
The candidates may download the form from the official website http://www.natboard.edu.in/ and should send it to the office of National Board of Examinations (NBE), Medical Enclave, Ansari Nagar, Ring Road, New Delhi - 110 029 along with required enclosures and fee
- Application Fee: Rs 750
- Examination Fee: Rs 3500
The fee can be paid through cash deposit along with prescribed challan/pay in slip as available on the website at all branches of Indian Bank & Axis Bank. Banks are permitted to levy transaction charges as follows:
- Indian Bank: Rs 30 per Challan
- Axis Bank: Rs 70 per Challan
