National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are premier engineering colleges in India. After IITs, they are most sought after institutes. They offer degree courses at bachelors, masters, and doctorate levels in various branches of engineering and technology. Admissions to BTech/BArch in NITs is given through JEE Mains Examination. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSSA) conducts counselling and allocates seats in NITs.
What is NIT 2016 Cutoff?
In order to secure a seat in NIT, one should qualify JEE (MAIN). For the purpose of admission to NITs, JEE Main Score and Board score are taken in the ratio 60:40. The admissions largely depend upon the rank that a student gets in JEE (MAIN) exam.
The NIT 2016 Cut Off list shall contain the minimum marks required by the candidates to secure a position in the next stages of admission. After having attained the required marks, the candidates are required to move to the next stage, i.e., counseling and seat allotment in NIT.
