IITs are public institutes of higher education. They have been declared institutions of national importance and are governed by the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961. Admission to IITs are given through common admission process IIT JEE Advanced. At present there are 19 IITs. Four new IITs namely - IIT Bhilai, IIT Goa, IIT Jammu, IIT Dharwad will start their session from 2016.
What is IIT JEE Advanced 2016 Cutoff?
In order to secure a seat in IIT, one should qualify JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is the second tier of the two tier examination to give admission in IITs. In the year 2016 around 2 lakh candidates qualified for JEE Advanced.
The IIT JEE Advanced 2016 Cut Off list shall contain the minimum marks required by the candidates to secure a position in the next stages of admission. After having attained the required marks, the candidates are required to move to the next stage, i.e., counseling and seat allotment in IIT.
After the results have been waved, one of the hot searches on internet is the minimum rank needed to get into any particular college.
