National Museum Institute, Delhi invited application from eligible candidates for admission to M.A. Courses for the academic session 2014.

Important Dates

• Last date for receipt / submission of complete application forms: 03 July 2014
• Date for Written Test / Interviews for all shortlisted applicants will be declared on the on: 05 July 2014

Date of Written test and interview:-

a) M.A. (History of Art) : 08 July 2014 at 10.30 A.M. (Tuesday)

b) M.A. (Conservation) : 09 July 2014 at 10.30 A.M. (Wednesday)

c) M.A. (Museology): 10 July 2014 at 10.30 A.M. (Thursday)

Note: These courses lead to the award of M.A. degree in concerned disciplines

Course Details:

a) M.A. (History of Art):

Minimum Eligibility: A Graduate Degree from Indian University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or a recognized foreign University with minimum 50% marks.

Desirable:  A Background in Social Science, Liberal Arts or Fine Arts.

Total seats:  25 (UR - 12, SC - 4, ST - 2, OBC - 6 & PWD - 1)  

b) M. A. (Conservation):

Minimum Eligibility:  A Graduate Degree from a recognized University with 50% marks in any of the following subjects: Chemistry/Physics/Geology/Botany/Zoology/ Computer Science/Fine Arts/History/History of Art/Architecture/Archaeology/Museology/Designing or a Diploma recognized as equivalent to graduate degree in any of these fields.

Total Seats: 15 (UR - 8, SC - 2, ST - 1, OBC – 4)

c)  M.A. (Museology):

Minimum Eligibility:  B.A./B.Sc.(Honours) or B.A./B.Sc./B.F.A. (3 Years) in any discipline under Humanities and Social Sciences /Science from a recognized University with 50% marks.

Desirable: A Background/P.G Diploma in subjects related to History of Art and Museum studies.

Total Seats: 15 (UR - 8, SC - 2, ST - 1, OBC - 4)

Selection Procedure: Eligible and Short-Listed Candidates Will Be Called For Written Test And Interview. The short-listed candidate’s list will declared on www.nmi.gov.in

Fill the application form completely, Enclose attested photocopies of Pass certificate of Class 10, mark
