For Graduate Engineering & Diploma Engineering Apprentices:
Step I
- Candidates must get themselves enrolled/registered with the Board of Practical Training (BOPT) through online enrolment at the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal: nats.education.gov.in and obtain a valid enrolment ID after successful enrolment.
- For instance, if a candidate possesses both B.Tech and Diploma qualifications, but applies for Technician (Diploma) training slots, he/she must register as Diploma only in the NATS portal.
Step II
- After successful online registration at nats.education.gov.in and receipt of a valid enrolment ID, the candidate must log in using the registered ID and password.
- Candidates can apply against the following Establishments of NEEPCO and opt for the desired stream in line with fulfilment of educational qualifications and eligibility criteria.
For Non-Engineering Graduates (B.A, B.Sc, B.Com):
- Register at the NATS portal.
- Log in using the registered ID and apply for the relevant establishment.
For ITI Trade Apprentices (Electrician, Lineman, Plumber, Fitter):
- Register at the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS): apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.

What is the Selection Process for NEEPCO Recruitment 2025?
- Eligible candidates for various categories will be sourced/extracted from the database of the apprenticeship portals.
- Selection shall be based on merit as per marks secured in the degree/diploma course as mentioned against each Apprentice post.
- First preference shall be given to candidates belonging to the State in which the Power Station(s) is/are located. After allocation of seats to candidates belonging to the state, if no sufficient candidates are found, selection for the rest of the seats shall be based on the merit as per marks secured in the Graduation/Diploma engineering course by the candidates belonging to other NE states of domicile.
