Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology formerly known as Delhi Institute of Technology is an engineering college established in 1983 in New Delhi, India under the purview of Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi. It invites application from eligible candidates for admission to courses mentioned below for the year 2012

• MTech (Signal Processing) under the Division of Electronics & Communication Engineering: 23 seats
• MTech (Information System)under the Division of Computer Engineering: 23 seats
• MTech (Process Control) under the Division of Instrumentation & Control Engineering: 23 seats

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology

• Educational Qualification

a)      For Full Time MTech Programme with scholarship: A candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication/Computer/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering from the University of Delhi or equivalent from recognised University/ Institutions OR A candidate must have passed in the A.M.I. E.(India) Exam with appropriate specialization /Grad. I.E.T.E.(India) AMIE(London) or any other examination in the concerned branch recognised as equivalent to BE degree by the University of Delhi AND A candidate for admission to full time course must have qualified (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) Gate Score

b)      For Full time Sponsored MTech Programme without scholarship: A candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering from the University of Delhi or equivalent from recognized University/ Institutions OR A candidate must have passed in the A.M.I. E.(India) Exam with appropriate specialization/ Grad. I.E.T.E. (India) AMIE (London) or any other examination in the concerned branch recognized as equivalent to B.E. degree by the University of Delhi. The preference shall be given to those candidates who are GATE qualified AND The candidates must have minimum one year's full time work experience in a registered firm/company/Industry/ Educational and Research Institutes/ any Government Department Or Government Autonomous organizations in the relevant field in which admission is being soughT. One year experience will be counted from the date of declaration of BE result. The candidates will be required to submit a ‘No Objection Certificate" from their employers AND A letter from the employer must be furnished stating that the candidate is being sponsored to get admission. The employer should also indicate that the candidate will not be withdrawn midway till the completion of the course

Note: Sponsored candidate will not be eligible to receive scholarship even if they are admitted on the basis of GATE score

c)      Part Time MTech Programme: A candidates must have passed BE/BTech. degree in Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering from the University of Delhi or equivalent from recognised University/ Institutions OR A candidate must have passed in the A.M.I. E.(India) Exam with appropriate specialization /Grad. I.E.T.E.(India) AMIE(London) or any other examination in the concerned branch recognised as equivalent to BE degree by the University of Delhi AND The candidates must have minimum one year's full time work experience in a registered firm/company/Industry/ Educational and Research Institutes/ any Government Department Or Government Autonomous organizations in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. Note: No scholarship shall be available for part time MTech programme students

Selection Procedure for Admission in Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology

The final selection of the candidates shall be made by the Selection Committee on the basis of their performance at the qualifying examination test and interview as indicated below:

• For Full Time MTech Programme

Maximum Marks

1. Weight age for GATE score 80%

2. Interview/ Viva- Voce 20%; Total 100%

• For Full Time Sponsored/ Part Time MTech Programme

Maximum Marks

1. Qualifying Examination (Aggregate) 50%

2. Test conducted by Institute 30%

3. Interview/Viva-Voce 20%; Total 100%

Scholarship: GATE qualified candidates selected for full-time MTech course will be entitled for AICTE scholarship which will be distributed only after the receipt of grant from AICTE
