Pay Scale: E8 of Rs. 51300 - 3%- 73000(IDA)
Maximum Age: 53 years (as on 1 April 2014)
[Upper age limit is relax-able by 5 years for PWD candidates.]
Minimum Qualifications: B.E./ B. Tech./ B.Sc. in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Post qualification experience of 23 years in PSUs/ Central/ State Govt. Utilities, of which 13 years should be in Coal based Thermal Power Sector and 3 years should be in the E7 level of pay scale of Rs. 51300-3%-73000 (IDA).
Of the above experience, candidate should have an association of at least 5 years in the field of Engineering/ Construction/ Erection/ Testing & Commissioning/ Operation & Maintenance of Thermal Projects/ Plants of at least 200 MW.
Selection Procedure: Selection of candidate will be done on the basis of his performance in the Interview. Selected candidate will be on probation for one year.
The candidature of all candidates shall be provisional and all the required documents will be checked at the time of interview.
Registration fee: General and OBC category candidates are required to deposit Rs. 250 as non-refundable Registration fee in a specially opened account No.31713133703 at State Bank of India’s CAG Branch, New Delhi, on behalf of NHPC.
For depositing the fee, candidate should approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the “pay-in-slip” available on the application registration portal and deposit the amount with the bank. On receipt of the money, the bank will issue a Unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the bank collecting the money. This Journal Number and the Branch code are to be filled up by the candidate during online registration.
SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates are not required to pay the Registration fee.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through online registration system of NHPC only. To apply, candidates should visit NHPC website www.nhpcindia.com with their valid e-mail ID. The online registration can be done till midnight of 14 April 2014.
After submitting the online application form candidates should take 2 print-outs with the Unique Registration Number generated by the system in duplicate.
Candidate should send a duly signed print-out of the registration form with their photograph affixed on it, self-attested photocopies of required documents/ Certificate and NHPC copy of pay-in slip by Speed Post/ Courier to “Chief (HR), NHPC Ltd., Recruitment Section, NHPC Office Complex, Sector-33, Faridabad – 121003 (Haryana)” so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 21 April 2014.
On the envelope carrying the application candidates should super-scribe “Advertisement Number NH/Rectt./01/ 2014. Post applied for General Manager (Thermal)”.
