Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC), Bhubaneswar invited online applications for Direct recruitment to 551 posts of Junior Engineer (Civil) (Post Code- JE/86) under the Government in Works Department and in H&UD (PH) Department. Interested candidates should apply online through OSSC website http://www.odishassc.in/ till 5 September 2014 (2359 hours) and send a printout of the online submitted Detailed Application Form (DAF) to the OSSC office so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 12 September 2014 (1700 hours).

1. Engineer in Chief (EIC) (Civil), R & B under Works Department: 517 posts
2. Engineer in Chief (Public Health) PH under H&UD Department: 34 posts
Pay scale: Pay Band 2 of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade pay of Rs.4200 per month
Age Limit: (as on 01 January 2014)
Minimum: 21 years
Maximum: 32 years
The upper age limit is relax-able up to 05 years for SC/ ST/ SEBC/ Women category candidates and up to 10 years for PWD category candidates.
Educational Qualifications: Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the written exam/ online exam.
Examination Fee: Non-refundable examination fee of Rs.100 is to be paid either through online or offline mode using the Treasury Portal or by conventional mode of deposit in the Treasury.
SC/ ST/ PH candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
Online Mode: through Net Banking of the designated banks or through Debit Card. On successful payment, an e-Challan will be generated from the Treasury portal.
Offline Mode: using the fee payment Challan through any designated Bank provided in Treasury Portal under the “Head of Account – 0051 – PSC – 104 – UPSC/ SSC – Examination Fees – 0047 – Fees collected for conducting examinations- 02041- Examination Fees”.
Conventional Mode: Candidates can also pay the fee through the conventional mode of deposit in the Treasury under the “Head of Account – 0051 – PSC – 104 – UPSC/ SSC – Examination Fees – 0047 – Fees collected for conducting examinations – 02041 – Examination Fees”.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through OSSC website http://www.odishassc.in till 05 September 2014 (2359 hours).
After applying online, candidates should take a print out of the online submitted application and send it along with original copy of treasury challan/ e-challan and attested copies of relevant certificates/ documents/ testimonials by registered post/ speed post to ‘The Secretary, Odisha Staff Selection Commission, Barrack No 1, Unit V, Bhubaneswar 751054″ so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 12 September 2014 (1700 hours).
On the envelope carrying the application, candidates should super-scribe “Application for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil)”.
