PGIMER Chandigarh Notified Recruitment to Senior Resident, SMO, & Sr. /Jr. Demonstrator Posts 2013

Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh invited applications from Indian Nationals for recruitment to various Posts of Senior Resident, Senior Medical Officer (Casualty in Emergency), Sr. /Jr. Demonstrator, and Tutor (Medical) in its different Departments/Specialty. The candidates eligible for the posts may send their application through prescribed format on or before 03 December 2013.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for all the posts is 33 years except for the post of Hospital Administration for which the age limit is 36 years.

(Upper age relaxation is applicable as per Govt rules as 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC)

NOTE: The candidates who have completed three years tenure of Senior Residency & DM/M.ch are not eligible for the post of Senior Resident.

Educational Qualification

For all posts of Senior Residents:

A Postgraduate Degree in the concerned specialty or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

For the Post of Senior Medical Officer: MD/MS (Medicine/Surgery)

For Senior Demonstrator:

• M.Sc. in subject concerned.
• Ph.D. in the subject concerned/allied subject.

For Junior Demonstrator: M.Sc. in the subject concerned.

For Tutor (Medical) in Transfusion Medicine: M.B.B.S. with one year experience

NOTE: For all posts except Sr. /Jr. Demonstrator, a candidate must be registered with the State/Central Medical Council.

Selection Procedure

Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performances in written examination followed by departmental assessment and interview, taken together.

How to Apply

Candidates are first required to take print out of Application Form and Challan for the concerned post from the PGIMER website: www.pgimer.edu.in. Then, they have to deposit application fee through the challan from any Branch of State Bank of India, and duly fill the application form with blue/black ball pen.

After filling the application form, candidates must send the duly filled in application along with copies of certificates duly attested by the Gazetted Officer in support of educational qualification(s), experience, age/date of birth certificate, caste certificate, NOC from the present employer, if employed, and one copy of challan through registered post or Speed Post only to the “Administrative Officer (Recruitment Cell), PGIMER, Sector-12, Chandigarh 160 012”.
